Welcome to homepage of "Back to Kosovo" mod for "Ghost Recon"

Todays news: BTK missions and weapons in Italian. Thanks to Giwex you can play Back to Kosovo in Italian now! All you have to do is to visit download section of this site and there you'll find italian_patch.zip file and instructions "how to..." for it.

Yesterday I received mail from Giwex. He wants to translate Back to Kosovo to italian, and he asked for my permit to do that. I gave him my permit, so italian players can expect BTK mod release in their language soon. I would like to use this opportunity to encorage all of you, if you want to translate BTK to your language, contact me and I'll try to help you as much as I can. But, beware, BTK mod supports only original character map and some serbian latinic characters. That means you can't use ń, ü, or ä characters! So, if you want to make your own characters, you should edit \shell\art\new_font_revised.rsb file inside BTK folder. Then you should make translations and implement them in BTK missions using IGOR. If you don't know how to use IGOR, send translations to me and I'll put them in. Also, you should edit \shell\strings.txt file (BTK folder) in order to correct the names of certain weapons and equipment (frag grenades, mines etc...) to your language. After you finish that, you can send it (zipped) to me, and I'll announce it on this page and put it in the download section as (language)_patch.zip so you can download it. Once again, zip archive file should contain new_font_revised.rsb, strings.txt and missions files!

This page is now (almost) finished and it fully support two languages - english and serbian. These two versions are not identical, as you can see. More news: still working on multiplayer mission pack, more news will be available soon, at this site.

Well, you might ask - what's so special about this mod? Here are the answers:

- campaign (8 missions) based on very interesting story
- all friendly soldiers have their own, original skins and various attachments
- 3 brand new vehicles - 1 tank, 1 terrain vehicle and 1 APC
- NPC's which may (or may not) help you with their attitudes, infos and dialogues
- and many more...

Soon, I should finish a multiplayer mission pack, it'll bring some new types of multiplayer fights!

At last! English version of Back to Kosovo mod! It took me some time to make it in english, but I hope it was worth every minute of it. If you want to download, install and play this mod - watch out for the requirements! You'll need this:

1. GHOST RECON CD patched to (at least) 1.3 version OR

2. GHOST RECON CD with ISLAND THUNDER mission add-on disk installed

3. BTK modification (BTK.zip archive content)

4. English patch applied to BTK mod (it turns serbian version into english)
